The RAU's range of degree courses with an integrated foundation year incorporate an extra year of study at the start of your course, so that you can progress with confidence.  This first year of study will develop the skills you need for your later studies.  It is particularly suitable if:

  • You don’t have the grades for immediate entry onto a three-year course
  • You have non-traditional qualifications or experience
  • You’re starting university after some time away from education
  • You’re looking for more support during the transition into university study

The integrated foundation year is common to all degree programmes, so will provide you an opportunity to meet fellow students on other degrees courses thereby allowing you to expand your knowledge of other topics as well as build links across the university.

Upon successful completion of the first year, you will be automatically rolled onto the first year of your parent degree - there is no requirement for you to apply again through UCAS.
